Steve Mutch, founder of Dragon's Wing Entertainment, started working with lighting in early 2001, when, while on an interview for a past online magazine, the tour manager for Lizzy Borden asked him to help out. From there, things started taking flight.

After working as a stagehand at the Webster Theatre in Hartford, CT for a year, his break came in the form of changing lighting director's there. Steve was promoted to the house lighting director position after the departure of the former one.

Steven worked at the Webster for a few years. In that time, he did lighting for such bands as Thin Lizzy, cKy, Avenged Sevenfold, Bob Weir's Ratdog, Good Charlote, Revelation Theory, Bret Michaels, and many more. He also was on the local lighting crew, running spotlights, and other duties, for bands like Queensryche, Staind, 311, Michael Bolton and Richard Marx.

After 3 years of working on the local club scene, Steven was asked to tour with Cradle Of Filth on the Headbanger's Ball Tour in 2004. As the assistant lighting director for Cradle Of Filth, he travelled all over the continental United States and Canada. Under the supervision of head LD Richard Wolfgang, Steven learned more about lighting, rigging, stageplots, and designing stage sets. During that tour, he was also asked to do the lights for tourmates Arch Enemy.

After that tour ended, Steven went back to what he previously did...working mostly with local and regional bands.

In late 2005, Steven was asked to join the Arch Enemy North American Doomsday Tour as Head LD. During this tour, Michael Amott of Arch Enemy asked Steven to join them for the remainder of the tour, hitting Italy, Spain, and the U.K.  After a very succesful 3 week tour, he again went back to lighting local and regionals.

During this off-time from touring, Steve and Dragon's Wing are connected with a number of bands, local, regional and national.
